Dominion Promotions brings gospel ministry of international standard to Tobago, and puts Tobago talent on the same stage.
Why we started
For years, if you lived in Tobago and wanted to see a gospel artiste of international standing, you travelled to Trinidad. The concerts were there. The production was there. The stage was there. Tobago waited.
Vern Joseph had spent years coordinating rallies and conferences in his own church, and as a musician he had wondered what it felt like to stand on a stage of that size. He registered Dominion Promotions on 28 November 2010 with a simple intention: bring that standard here, and let Tobagonians experience it at home.
The first promotion followed under the theme In His Presence, with Grammy Award winning artiste Donnie McClurkin. Eleven stagings later, the name is a household one in Tobago.
The standard
A stage worth standing on
We have never treated a Tobago audience as a smaller audience. The staging, the sound, the lighting and the screens are built to the standard the visiting artistes are used to, because that is what makes the night feel like the real thing rather than a version of it.
It matters just as much for the local artistes on the bill. For many of them, In His Presence is the first time they have performed on a stage of that scale, in front of an audience of that size, alongside an artiste they have listened to for years. Several of the suppliers who now work across the island built their reputations on this stage too.

Our vision is an all embracing ministry for cultural and diverse groups, including young people, musicians, artistes and churches.
Our mission is to establish excellence in ministry through reliability, dependability and confidence, providing a safe and clean environment for every artiste, patron and partner who joins us.
How we work
- Every promotion is executed responsibly and professionally, from the first invitation to the last patron leaving the car park
- Local artistes are developed, not filled in around the headline act
- Tobago suppliers are used wherever the work can be done here
- Good working relationships with the relevant authorities are maintained, every time
Dominion Promotions is led by Vern Joseph with a management committee drawn from the family and the wider team, and is a member of the Dominion Group of Companies.
